Bisiriya & Laura make their 2nd qualification!

On Saturday morning 6:30am we load Bisiriya in the trailer for a 3 hours drive to the Beach of Renesse to participate at the 43km race. The weather reports sounded promising but arriving at Renesse it was pouring with rain. Luckily the pre check was inside and by the time Bisiriya and I came to start, the sun was out again! Although still windy, we manage to go very well through the first round. A beautiful route through the Dunes and over the beach. Arriving at the vetgate, we went to the vet almost immediately for inspection. All was fine and her heartbeat was 52. I was very happy with this because the last part of the loop was through heavy sand.

At the start of the second loop, it started pouring with rain again and strong winds. Bisiriya was super fit and easily finished her second loop as well. At the last check, the sun was back and with a heartbeat of 44 we finished at a 12th position and 7th with the young riders. The sun stayed and accompanied us on the way back to the farm. This was for both our second qualification race and we are now qualified for the 80km!
